Challenge
The company already had an ERP system where they managed their internal work processes, but as time went by it became outdated and they had not been able to connect correctly with a software agency to update it.
The client approached Rootstack looking for help upgrading their enterprise management system, ERP. The solution was offered to migrate to a new ERP system working with Odoo and thus have a more modern platform, where its collaborators could execute any process quickly and safely.
Our solution
Based on a consulting phase, where all the project objectives and timelines were defined, the work was satisfactory. Communication between the Rootstack team and the client was essential for things to happen correctly.
First, the main problems presented by the current ERP were detected, which no longer had the necessary functions for correct administration and urgently needed to update its modules.
Rootstack's engineering team got to work: they began by creating modules from scratch for the company's accounting, inventory, sales, and purchasing functions, in addition to updating some aspects of the existing ERP. All this work was done with Odoo, which we will talk about later.
Custom reports
One of the most important features of this ERP update is the ability to create custom reports for traceability. This type of report provides visibility and operational efficiency of great value, valuable information when processing purchases, sales, and inventory management.
Technology
As we mentioned before, for the update of the ERP system the Rootstack team decided to use Odoo. Odoo is a set of open-source business management applications (ERP) designed to be fully customizable and easy to use.
It consists of an impressive set of business applications such as sales, e-invoicing, Acounting, inventory, human resources, projects, CRM, e-commerce, and much more. All integrated with each other.
Rootnet was also applied in the project to keep track of time, tasks, and everything worked on by the team.
