Challenge
An agency dedicated to carrying out digital and software projects for the medical industry, needed a team of programming experts and engineers to help them with a challenging project, so they decided to turn to Rootstack and hire their staff augmentation services.
Our solution
After the initial meetings with the team, the selected Rootstack engineers, based on their knowledge and use of the technologies necessary to meet the needs of said project, began to work fully on the creation of an application to interconnect different laboratories in the USA.
The main objective of the application lies in connecting and sharing valuable information, both for the laboratories and for the users of the application. For example: there is a laboratory that does urine tests and another that only does blood tests, both can connect through this application and thus make use of this comprehensive network to share clients.
The project is divided into two platforms, one is called AccessHub and the other is called AccessOutreach. The first thing it does is collect laboratory orders that arrive directly from the health system and hospitals in the United States, display each order that arrives, and thus manage the entire life cycle, in addition to being able to connect with all the laboratories in the network to know which one provides the services in the said order and effectively execute the exams.
In AccessOutreach, unlike the other platform, here the orders are created directly in the system, managed internally, and sent to the medical system where all the laboratories are interconnected.
The client obtains great benefits
One of the main benefits of the platform is that it allows different laboratories to be connected, not only with a comprehensive national system, but they can share exams and thus the client can make profits from the platform.
Technologies
This project is mainly being worked on in Next.JS. The backend is worked with Node.JS, frontend with Next.js. Other technologies that are being used are Sonarcloud, Twilio, and Jira for project control, and Slack to communicate with the client.
