This company needed to make it easier for clients and insurance brokers to access information on the policies and contracts processed. The company also sought to digitize and automate many of the basic and repetitive procedures that are made between clients and brokers to speed up the processing of policies and make this management less bureaucratic.
Our solutions
Once we listen to the needs of our client, we move on to the development of the Mi Portal web application with two approaches: on the client and on the insurance broker. On the client's side, this self-management platform offers the option of validating the policies that he has active, verifying his account status or payment status, and having greater control of the information related to his contract.
This platform was also designed to considerably speed up the management of the insurance broker. If in the past the employee had to access numerous files and systems to monitor customer policies, now from My Portal he will be able to access an extensive database with the entire customer catalog at his disposal.
This web application allows the insurance broker to check the policies that he has processed, which are the delinquent clients, verify their commissions, and even make the payment of their clients' policies when the case arises.
Another of the functionalities that My Portal offers to insurance brokers is the possibility of reviewing the persistence: this is based on analyzing all the policies that were issued among those that have been canceled in a certain period.
Main functionalities of “Mi Portal”
- Balance history
After registering on the platform with their basic data, customers can check their balance history, payment dates and various transactions related to their policy.
- Review policy
The client can digitally review the content of his policy, whenever he wants and from any device - mobile or computer - without having to carry his printed contract, which can be impractical and cumbersome.
- Claims status
Instead of making calls all the time to verify the status of claims, through Mi Portal customers can quickly monitor the process in real time.
- Online chat
The user experience was optimized with the implementation of an online chat, configured to instantly meet the most immediate and basic customer requirements. Through automation, the company is creating a much more personalized service focused on customer satisfaction.
Insurance Rating Engine
For our client, to be able to create the My Portal quote for the products, we developed an ETI to verify a set of rules to be able to define the cost of the policy and based on that to be able to advise the client correctly and offer them all the options available for their insurance policy, adapted to their needs.
An insurance rating engine is a sequence that allows the calculation of a price/premium based on specific risk variables, formulas, rules, and underwriting guidelines.
