Rootstack's experienced engineers developed a web application called One Time, focused on helping insurers to manage all the information and services they offer to their patients or clients, handling issues related to the medical care they receive, the caregivers who are assigned to serve them, keeping track of invoices and payments.
It is not a web application used by patients: it is dedicated to helping insurance companies organize their internal workflow, improving the care they offer to their elderly clients.
Features of this platform
This software is made up of several functionalities that offer wide flexibility and ease to insurance companies.
Agencies
In this menu, the platform shows all the insurers available to provide service to patients.
Patients and caregivers
These two options are associated with insurance agencies or companies, since on the one hand there are the clients or patients of the companies and, on the other, there are the caregivers hired to provide the corresponding services.
Patient profile
On this platform, each of the patients has a profile with their basic information as well as the medical reports that correspond to their case. This profile is associated at the same time with all the services that the patient has contracted, which can be just one or they can be several at the same time.
Each service has a start and end date, with specific approved times. Whatever service the client has contracted, generates a calendar, which shows the hours in which the patient needs a particular service. At the same time, this calendar reflects the availability of caregivers who can offer care to said patient.
With each appointment that is created between a patient and a caregiver, a record is generated that reflects the history of all the tasks performed by the caregiver at the client's home. This allows strict monitoring of the caregiver's work, being able to verify that he is fully complying with his job.
Billing module
After the hours worked by the caregiver are verified and validated, the same software generates billing invoices for the patient and payment orders for the caregivers, thanks to the billing module.
It is a very useful system for caregivers, since they can have their own session on the platform, in which they can check the patients assigned to them, the appointments, and can even receive alerts of their closest appointments.
Technology
In this project, the Rootstack software developers used Laravel for the backend and Vue.js for the frontend, achieving a powerful and functional platform.
Some Amazon Web Services services were also used, the Cloud infrastructure is in Amazon Web Services, as well as the servers. AWS offers website developers a robust and feature-rich platform for building and deploying websites with scalability, cost-effectiveness, reliability, security, flexibility, and integration capabilities.
