The Challenge
Our client came to Rootstack looking for expert software engineers that could improve their internal processes using the latest technologies. Their goal was to optimize the purchase approval process, reducing employees’ time wasted on daily tasks, showing updated information and ensuring that human error is kept to a minimum.
Our Solutions
Rootstack developers worked quickly on a sophisticated integration of our clients’ purchasing system with Microsoft 365 services: Office 365 User Profile with Email and Outlook. For the implementation we used the service Azure Logic Apps which helps quickly create a secure and scalable infrastructure, while reducing the time and money spent to plan, procure, and manage it.
Now, when a new purchase order is generated in their own ERP, the approver automatically receives an email through Outlook with details on the request and a button to approve or reject it, and optionally add comments. And this information is instantly shown on the ERP.
We started out with a 5 people distributed team, and today we have 3 teams of 5 people working daily on our clients’ software platforms.
